14 1/2" doll hand smocked dresses

Making a batch of smocked dresses for 14 1/2" dolls like the Wellie Wisher™ and the Hearts for Heart™ dolls has been has been a busy project. It has been somewhat easier to work through the steps of construction for a number of dresses at the same time rather than focusing on just one little dress.
I have experienced this while working on dresses for my granddaughters. Since there are three of them and the dresses we decide on are similar for each, it ends up being easier to make them on kind of an assembly line.

So here's my latest "batch":

18" doll smocked dress

I have been having a lot of fun smocking dresses for the Wellie Wisher™ and other 14 1/2" dolls. I recently tried making a number of them at the same time, I'll be listing those in my Etsy shop over the next few days.

I also made and listed an American Girl™ Doll size hand smocked dress. The larger size was just perfect for ease of construction. I can see why so many people enjoy making clothes for these  18"dolls!
